Zigzag Twisted Chain (or) Spanish Knotted Feather Stitch

Draw  a straight line.

Bring the thread through A.

Take a slanting stitch ("B") to the left ("C") through the fabric under the laid thread and pull through with the needle point over the working thread as shown in Fig 2.

Take a slanting stitch ("D") to the right ("E")  through the fabric under the laid thread and pull through with the needle point over the working thread as shown in Fig 3.

Take a stitch in the same way to the left as in Fig 4.

Repeat Figs. 2,3 and  4 to the end of the line then fasten off with a small stitch as shown in Fig 7.
